please upload the mini dump file to ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming for Avast! team to check it out.
note: mini dump file can be found in \Windows\Minidump. please state ur drive (eg. C) before the ''

well i uninstalled ais,and bf3 now works.2 days of pulling my hair out and this is the culprit.
i uninstalled ais not 15 minutes ago so no dump file to upload.
perhaps i will reinstall and try again.
quite dissapointed with this, now just using mse!

Even if you uninstall AIS the minidumps are found in C:\WINDOWS\minidump and you can still send it.

just checked that folder and nothing there?

Now you got me. Unless you do not have set Windows to produce a Minidumps.

My PC > Properties > Advance Options > Start up and Recovery. See Screenshot.

For Windows 7:

Go to the Control Panel, choose ‘System And Security’, and then click ‘System’, and then click the ‘Advanced System Settings’ link.
In the opened window, click the ‘Advanced’ tab and then inside the ‘Startup And Recovery’ frame, click the ‘Settings’ button.
In the opened ‘Startup And Recovery’ window, there is ‘Write Debugging Information’ section. You should set the combo-box in this section to ‘Small memory dump’, and then click ‘ok’ to confirm the change.

i realized i have setup within ccleaner to clear all diagnostics logs.

and I bet you have checked " Memory dumps " in CCleaner.

when using any cleaning tools, remember to uncheck any diagnostic reports especially windows dump files. they are critical to help solve problems like the ones ur facing now

AntiVirusAset.

Thanks for your help with the W 7 location to ‘Startup And Recovery’ . Not running W 7 and must do translation of the tab names fron Spanish to English. ::slight_smile:

np, learnt something too in the process cause i have not gone to meddle with the settings in windows 7 before.

so i went searching and found the answer
