Latest version of Avast free cannot run full scan stays at 0%

HI I would just like to mention that I have the latest version of avast free on my windows 10 desktop computer. Any time I have clicked on the full scan button to scan my whole computer I have noticed that the percent of the scan never changes it stays at 0% percent. I have tried a couple of times to do a repair of avast free and the repair process does complete with no errors of any kind the only thing is is that the repair will say completed successfully and the product is updated successfully. I have also tried doing a repair of avast free and then restarting the desktop computer. Unfortunately the full scan still stays at 0% percent and it never changes at all. I never get any error messages at all.

some info that might be helpful below:

Windows 10 64 bit operating system
Avast free program version is: 17.5.2302 (Build: 17.5.3559.0)
creators update 1703

I’ve found that the scans stay at 0% for a unusually long time… half hour or perhaps more… before finally changing (to 1%) and then gradually moving on [much faster]. Did you allow the scan to “complete”, or did you interrupt it — thinking that it wasn’t doing anything?

Thanks Ky331 for the reply I left the full scan running in Avast free and eventually the indicator did change from 0% and it did get to a 100%.

Thanks again Ky331
