Latest vps

Is 141107-0 the most recent vps update?
I know all the stuff about some days not having updates and streaming updates keeping us up to date … I just want to be sure that updating to .2208 hasn’t caused any issues with my installation.

EDIT: New vps received, ignore me!

141108-9 is the latest one when I’m writting this post.

Isn’t that a streaming update version - the last VPS I have received is 141107-0, but have streaming update sub-folders in the defs folder up to and including 14110810_stream.

EDIT: having done a manual VPS update (no auto received today) I now have 141108-9

See edited last post - after manual update from the UI.

Not a good advert for having removed the auto update notifications.

I, too, had to do a manual VPS today because it seemed strange I was not receiving notifications regarding vps updates. So, I checked settings and sure enough, no updates. Now, it (VPS updates setting say I have NO connection. This disturbs me. Someone with more knowledge than I, help?

In all honesty it isn’t too much to get concerned with - you only need to look at the first of two images, check the avast defs folder, that shows all of the streaming updates that have been received since a VPS update was received.

These streaming updates when a VPS update is eventually received are already incorporated in the new VPS - so these streaming update folders are removed by avast housekeeping. You can check the avastUI, Statistics > Historic Data and you will see the number of streaming updates you have received in the lats 24 hours.

Providing you are getting one or the other you still have recently updated virus definitions, by one means or the other.

Thanks David! I already did that… but I did a reboot and now all is well. Don’t know why I needed to reboot, but as long as it did the trick, I am

You’re welcome.
