Let Anti-Theft survive system-overwrite (feature request)

Dear Avast team,

I am very happy that you integrated such a nice product like anti-theft.
I have installed it on my android phone as root and it is working very well.

However, I often install a new rom version to my phone. In most cases it is not needed, to wipe the phone, cause it’s only a newer version of the base rom.
So /data/data and /data/app stay untouched and all programs working well without reinstallation needed. Even Mobile Security works very well without reinstall.

Unfortunately, cause Anti-Theft and its configuration data is in the /system partition it will be overwritten and I always have to reinstall it, enter my name and phone number and have to reboot twice. Some of the options are still there.

Could you maybe implement a option for fully automatical reinstallation of anti-theft to /system from maybe a saved version from /data/data?
Cause /data/data stays there all the time it should be possible. Even Mobile Security works without reinstallation.

Would be very nice.

its not possible fully automatical (UPDATE.ZIP of course, but also direct write needs SU access).
you can use cyanogenmod there you can modify the backup list and then anti-theft will survive the flash.

Side question: is it possible to develop this for aokp?

i do not know if they offer such features like cyanogenmod.

Is there a way to get this info? It’s not an easy staff to get contact with…

only their staff can answer this.

Did you try their official forums?

This is CM forum, not aokp.
