Documentation shows LGUARD32, but it’s not in the Home package I downloaded (Free!)
Do you have to upgrade to get it?
Found the DOS version in 7.7 and that works OK, but would prefer 32-bit version

are you looking for this?
Regret No. This is the DOS version 7.7 that I already have. Still looking for the 32-bit version
Which documentation are you talking about???
Lguard32 is an avast32 3.0 thing – it’s been replaced by ashCmd.exe in avast 4 but this is only available in the Professional Edition (not the free Home Edition).
Hope this helps,
Vlk
Thanks Vlk
I had inadvertently downloaded the 3.0 documentation !
Still need a commandline virus checker, so it maybe that ashcmd is the way to go

Do you need it to be command-line, really? (a console app I mean).
Wouldn’t ashQuick.exe do the trick?
Thanks
Vlk
I am looking for a command line version that is very quick to load, and can be invoked from a script file. Lguard comes close, but is exceptionally slow to load - too slow to be of any value to my application. However, LGUARD32, or it’s successor may be the answer - I’ll have to get hold of the trial version.
