Dear Avast Support Team,
I have purchased Avast Pro Antivirus 2015 (allowed 3 PC on the same licence number), on 20 January 2015. Today i got a notification saying that my antivirus have expired.
Also i have to reformatted my PC because because of issues. When i reinstalled Avast Pro on the same PC, it showed that I have used up 2 out of my 3 allowable PC. Why should it be shown that i have used up 2 when it the same computer?
Please rectify this matter urgently because i am currently running my PC without any protections. Please email me.
Kind regards
Sid

It is because you still have the “old pc” connected to your account.

I believe this is related to the same aggressive marketing behavior that did this to me twice in 4 days and sent me hyper aggressive marketing emails over 6 months. Lukas Hasik (VP Customer Care and Satisfaction) feels it is a bug. I feel it is an aggressive marketing campaign. Interestingly I purchased my (2nd) renewal in January 2015 also, on the 27th. This was turned off and all remaining time gone and I was told it expired. I wonder if there is a bug in the system not logging the January 2015 purchases correctly?
Do not run your PC without protection, get this resolved asap, meantime purchase another 1 PC license if you have for now (avast! will refund you for it once your situation is sorted out.) Otherwise use Windows built in antivirus program for now.
Good luck!

The windows inbuilt AV is pretty poor - even Microsoft recommends using a 3rd party AV - using the free version of avast would be preferable to that until the matter is resolved.
