I have been using Avast since around 2003 and love the product. I love it so much I have been a paying customer since around 2006. I recently renewed my license after I have been requested to renew my license for the last few weeks because I was tired of seeing the message pop up. I normally wait till the last day of my subscription to renew. After I renewed my license I looked at my time until I would need to renew again and it is exactly one year from today which is 1-3-2015 I still had 16 days left on my subscription so this date should append to my current subscription not replace. The way it is working is you have been requesting me to renew my subscription for the last 30 days If I had done it then I would of given you 45 days of my money for no product. The way it is working I am out my 16 days I paid for due to the way you insert the new license and the way the license system works. This is unfair to your customers!!! It isn’t that hard to just have the license append to the end of the current license you are cheating us out of money having a pop up every time the computer starts for 45 days hoping that someone will buy early and loose time without looking for another year and forgetting to look. It is sad that due to this I may stop using Avast after my next subscription. I have also been installing and promoting people to Avast for years. I build computers and the only anti virus I install on my machines are Avast. I have recommended Avast to every company I have worked for. I have never looked for anything free even with the promotions you all offer if we recommend your product to people. But I do not like what I have just witnessed.
You’re not the first to report this. Most advice here is to contact Avast through the normal support channels and beg them to give you all the time you paid for.
