I’m having a problem with my new licens key. I always get the respond that it is invalid. Could it be becaue the password is wrong (only 8 digits). Please help me
Same as me! Like wth? The key starts with a dash and the 8 characters. I just pasted it into the area but it says its invalid. But before you type your key, it has these underscore lines. Where are you/how to you paste it or type it in?
Just copy/paste the key in the field with the underscores should work. And I never saw a Avast key that begins with a dash. And about what version of Avast are you talking?

The attached image is what i did and i copy and pasted it into the window but it says its invalid.
That doesn’t look like a valid license key to me. The email should look like:
Your license key is
---------- cut here ----------
W1582731H1445A0106-CB1HYL1N
---------- cut here ----------
The key is valid for home, personal and non-commercial use on Windows workstation operating systems only!
ps: this is not a excisting key. I entered the letters and numbers myself.
Whatha?? Thats what i have only :-\ Ive just got those chaarcters and i am using xp sp1.
I think it is ok to request a new key. See if that works better. Looks like something went wrong with generating the key. Let’s hope one of the Alwil team joins and sees this. (s)he can probably tell more.

i’ve tried to register twice, and both times i got the same key.
And it is exact the same one as gtonic posted !
Seems to me as if there is something wrong with their answering robot … ;-((

I tried twice as well and it was the same key. I also emailed to support. Hope it turns around soon.

Just a tip TjoffeN,
if you read things like in this post, also check the day/time a message was posted. That way you can see if anything has changed after you have tried something.
