License Expiration Issue

My Avast keeps popping up that the license has expired and I have the Free version. I click to reactivate the free version and it says page isn’t available. I have uninstalled and reinstalled avast, updated, etc. but the continue with Free button is NOT working and needs fixed. Anyone else know how to get around this issue? I hate the popup coming up on my computer and can’t stop it as it keeps saying that my license has expired and I need to reactivate it but it won’t let me!

This is a known issue. Avast thought they had fixed it, but more reports say otherwise. See this thread: Unable to reactivate Avast Free antivirus

Note I am not an Avast Team member, just another user.

It’s exactly the same situation here.

Why can’t I simply re-activate my free licence? When I try to do this by selecting free why am I being offered a discount window that does nothing to my expired licence or activation status when closed? I have the latest version of the antivirus software installed released on the 15th August 2025. If this isn’t free it shouldn’t be advised as such as this is misleading.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

As has been said this is a known issue and the fix failed, they are trying to resolve it and issue another fix. Check the post above that rocksteady gave the link to.
