License Expired? Switching license to different computer. Help!

Hello. I have been a user of Avast software for a few years now, but in March I decided to use Avast Pro. It worked fine on my desktop, I knew how to use the license key and even saved the key in case I needed it later. This was a one year subscription so my license is to expire in March '11. Well, I recently purchased a laptop and wanted to transfer my Avast Pro to it instead of my computer. So, I went through the necessary steps to remove all Avast software from my desktop and downloaded Avast Pro to my laptop. I loaded the license from my desktop into the software on my laptop and it said that it was a success. However, when I try to update everything, during step 1 of 3, it stop and says “Last encountered error: The license for this product is invalid or has expired.”. I even got another license key via email and it still gives me the same message. I’m on windows 7 by the way.

I’d really appreciate some assistance because I don’t wish to purchase an entirely new license if I don’t have to.

is your computer time / day / date / month / year correct ? if not adjust reboot and try again

yeah, everything’s correct and i’ve rebooted but to no avail

After you attempt to update (unsuccessfully - with the error message mentioned above), please go to avast! installation folder and paste a few last pages of the file Setup\Setup.log.
