I started to use avast! since last year. This year I bought and activated its Internet Security 7 (3 Users) in varies laptops. Then I received the license Files via email.
What is the purpose of this license file?
Do I need to use it right now or keep the file and do nothing with it?
What is the different between this and the activate code?
Thank you in advance for answering my queries.
P/S: I used the activate code already. And last year I do not have this license file.
The license file from the email is required to fully activate your AIS, without the license installed your in trial mode for 1 month so double clicking on the email file will insert the licence automatically.
The code you are referring too would be for the free version?
You need to insert the license file into avast.
How long have you been using AIS?
If it’s been more than 30 days and you are using AIS all’s well. If it has been less than thirty days GUI>Maintenance>Registration>click on “Insert License”>reboot.
Yes, you need to retain the license file, should be in your download folder, just in case you need to do a clean install.
I have always received the license file via email. Do the appropriate click within the email to use the license file.
As has been said it should have been sent to your email address, check it isn’t being blocked by ISP or email server or user based anti-spam function.
Resend avast License http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.
