I realized, viewing in avast account website, that the license information for avast free 2016 is not visible anymore.
It means that will not be necessary to re - register every year?

The my.avast.com is related to you using the “sign-in” on the welcome screen. Not the product registration.
By doing this your install should be seen in the my.avast.com webpage.
If not try…Control Panel>Programs and Features>double click “avast”>click “repair”>reboot.
During beta testing I had to do a couple of repairs to get it to work.
Does 2016 still have “Settings” > “Registration” information?
Over the years (15+) I’ve registered using at least 3 different email addresses so the website never does reflect accurate information for me anyway.
As long as the “Registration” window in Avast is available this tells me what I need to know thankfully. 
The OP is talking about the my.avast.com account, at least that is my interpretation of what was posted and you quoted.
The Registration information is still in the same place in avast 2016.
