My license key is about to expire for the free version and I have requested a new one twice now and have not received one. Is there a problem sending out the keys, how do I go about getting the new one?
Click on Maintenance, than Registration for online registering.
- Open Avast.
- Click on “Maintenance” then “Registration”.
- Fill out the form for your license key and click “Submit”.
If it fails (or you’re in an offline computer), try offline registration.
Fill the form here ( http://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php ) and enter (copy & paste) the serial number you’ve recieved by email.
Inserting the license key into: avast! Free Antivirus, avast! Pro Antivirus and avast! Internet Security.
I’ve already followed the online registration twice now, I did it again just now. For some reason I’m not getting an email with the new key and it’s not going to any spam or junk email folder.
Try using a different email account (different domain name) as spam filtering is the normal cause of non-delivery. Many ISP filter spam, read delete and don’t send it to a spam folder.
Many with this problem have got round it using a free Yahoo or Gmail account.
The online registration does not send any email. It’s automatic.
I think there is some confusion with the term on-line as if it is the registration through the avastUI, Maintenance, Registration, then having done it once it shouldn’t be possible to do it a second time.
