My brother has just installed Avast Free and it works very good.
But my brother doesn’t know anything about computers. So after a year, i think his version is expired and he doesn’t know what to do to renew his free license.
I thought i give him a link (bookmark on his web browser) from Avast mainsite where he can fill in his data again and get then again a year licence for Avast
Is this link correct: http://www.avast.com/registration-free-antivirus.php
He will fill in the data on the link and will it renew his licence??? or not???
So the manner of the bookmark, is that a good idea? Does that work??? is that a good easy manner to update after a year license from people who doesn’t know anything about pc’s?
I’ve installed Avast (free version) yesterday from the avira site at my brothers house. I think i have the version 5 installed at my brothers house.
But when installed avast (free version) at my brothers house, he asked me to register so he can use it longer than 30 days, 1 year now.
So version 5 auto update the license? Does my brother have version 5 when i’ve installed Avast yesterday by my brother’s pc?
Sorry for my bad english, i’m belgian, my english is not so very good but i think you understand me. Thx for helping and answering at my questions , you may reply now if you want .
kwouters, I can’t follow the details of your post as it is, imho, a little bit mixing concepts.
If you download avast from its own site, it will be the version 5 that works after registration (free) for 14 months. After that you will be alerted to renew it (for free again).
Okay, what is the colour of the little ball with “a” in it in the right corner of the taskbar: blue or orange?
Or do you see a little red umbrella there ;D ?
