Just started this today, false positives? Throws a warning on multiple pages including my feed. Anyone else seen this? Know anything?
A screenshot of the Avast alert with the details option selected would help.
Attach it to your reply rather than post to a 3rd party site.
Me too.
Pressing “Continue anyway” gets past it, but very tedious for a man who uses LinkedIn a lot!
As mentioned a screenshot of the alert with the details option selected would help.
Same here from multiple users - it’s the Avast Online privacy chrome extension that is flagging the site. No details provided. Gives the alert. Number shows 1 next to Avast extension icon then clears back to 0 when it loads the alert page.
From browser field: chrome-extension://gomekmidlodglbbmalcneegieacbdmki/common/messagebox.html?data=eyJ0eXBlIjoibWFsd2FyZSIsInNhZmV0eVVybCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmF2YXN0LmNvbT91dG1fc291cmNlPU9ubGluZVNlY3VyaXR5JnV0bV9tZWRpdW09cmVkaXJlY3QmdXRtX2NhbXBhaWduPWF2YXN0IiwiYnJhbmROYW1lIjoiQXZhc3QiLCJvcmlnaW5hbFVybCI6Imh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmxpbmtlZGluLmNvbS9mZWVkLyJ9
That in effect isn’t a full blown Avast Alert, but a warning from the Avast Online Security browser extension (which I don’t use).
I think the warning by AOS is more that there are some scammers reported in some Google searches I have done. That may be why you are getting this warning rather than an actual Avast Antivirus alert.

Are scams common on LinkedIn? Indeed, one of the most common fraud attempts on LinkedIn is when a user receives a connection request from a fake user. These types of requests may take on one of several different forms. In some, fraudsters may claim that they're romantically interested in the recipient.15 Feb 2023
I can confirm the LinkedIn block and have reported it to Avast.
It’s no longer being detected.
hello,
so the problem is with chrome or avast?
It was a false positive. Which as stated has been resolved.
