avast isn’t alone in finding infection/suspicious content at that site, Linktopr.com.
Bad site…
David
Thanks for the Link Scanner reference I used it and it gave details of linktopr problem
It is a pity because this site ofered maps of the various Puerto Rico towns with its wards
I guess I will have to look them somewhere else
You’re welcome.
I get the same message at the link below but is seems to be clean and Avast is throwing it up.
Well it does seem infected as:
there is a script code outside the tags on the page and that is a standards no no.
the script is one that is obfuscated which is at the very least suspicious, what are they trying to hide.
This is it all on a single line which I have broken so it is easier to see, I have even had to break it up further as it then alerts on this page… I have had to remove it completely as it keeps detecting the obfuscation even when broken up.
So I would suggest you report it to the site if it is one you regularly use as a) they are probably unaware of it, b) it could well be on other pages. I have no idea what this code means or is used for but I can’t see why they feel the need to hide it in this way if it is legitimate.
ScanDoo also says “sluggerotoole.com/sluggeree” is a bad site to visit.
