Linux version asks for registration for licence key, that is no more possible

I downloaded the Linux version of avast and it asks for registration for licence key. The registration link leads to a page that says, that registration is no necessary. The linux version obviously does not work without licence key…

Ok, linux version seems not to be supported any more. But then why is it still available for download? And even advertised with “free download” ?
