Hi there,
is there a list of the apps which are recommended to lock?
I was wondering because a friend told me, that on his android (4.4) phone, Avast free mobile security
recommends WhatsApp for locking.
That might be a good idea anyway but I have never seen WhatsApp as recommended to lock…
(I only know of ‘settings’ and ‘google play store’
That seems a bit suspicious to me.
Is there any version that recommends WhatsApp to lock?
Has anyone ever seen WhatsApp as ‘recommended to lock’?
Hi Pater72, yes, we have list of apps, which should contain sensitive data (Dropbox, Whatsapp, Facebook, etc… ). And we haven’t any limitation to app version. You have probably ticked “Disable advisory notifications” in Mobile Security Settings (or in Notification Center in newest AMS version, which will be released this week). And this notification is triggered only on install or app update. If you reinstall desired app and delete AMS data, notification should appear :).
thank you for the explanation.
I tried it with my phone, and yes, there was a notification after installing WhatsApp
There was a certain misunderstanding: I thougth WhatsApp is marked as ‘recommended to lock’ in the app-manager, which is not the case.
It seems a bit inconsistent to me, but at least I understand now what my friend told me and don’t have to worry.
