The avast!'s firewall is powerful, sometimes too powerful that I nearly have to factory reset my S2.
To make the story short, someone guessed the password of the phone too many times and the phone is locked. When I tried to enter the google account name and password to unlock the phone, I found out that avast!'s firewall block that connection. Haha, I have to disable the firewall to get authentication to disable the firewall. Is factory reset my only option?
I finally found a solution, there is an about-20-second-window between the phone boots up and the firewall kicks in. I quickly entered the account name and password and unlocked the phone. It was the first time I am glad the phone is slow.
So my question is, what app did I set to block that authentication? What are the other apps that should not be blocked for normal operations?
Moreover, also in firewall settings, sorting apps in just Alphanumeric is not that useful. Separating blocked and unblocked apps is more meaningful. Having new apps list on top will sure help. Hope to see these features in coming release.
