Hi malware fighters,
Nothing to do with the makers of avast, there are sites that have fraudulent avast links, read:
http://cyberinsecure.com/fraudulent-avast-anti-virus-products-advertised-via-google-adwords/
Don’t fall for it, and report it. The only avast for us is the real avast,
avast-evangelist & malware fighter,
polonus
It’s a real shame how there are still people faking avast! and other antivirus. I once saw someone claiming to sell a “Gold License” with no expirations whatsoever. Heh, I even saw someone buying it.
There is another topic in the forums recently about this as well.
The adword fraud/hijacking/malicious use has been going on for some time.
Hi DavidR,
I will pass that link of three days ago, as it is here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=35800.0
Anyways the more people stay clear of these slime-sellers the better,
Damian
Google really needs to do more (they say they are) to avoid this abuse/misuse/fraudulent use of the adwords.
Yes, you can see the fakes sellers pretty much everywhere when you search “avast” aswell
