Is there a file created whenever avast does a scan listing the virus or trojan found, if any?
I am sure this has been answered many times before, however, I can’t find that/those thread(s).

Are you speaking of the log report?
What version of avast are you using, home or pro?
With the home version, at the end of an on-demand scan a report is displayed, this lists the files that couldn’t be scanned and why, this is only displayed until you close/exit the scan window. It can’t be recalled unless you are using the pro version.
Any virus found will stop the scan for you to decide what action to take.
You can also look at the avast Log Viewer which will list information depending on your Logging settings.
Colossi,
>>>Are you speaking of the log report?<<<
I really don’t know. I went into ‘C:.…\avast4\ashlogV.exe’ and found a type of viewer that could show all of logs. I also went into ‘C:.…\avast4\data\log\warning.log’, this one appears to be a list of the warnings given when an intruding virus or malware is detected but there is no identity given for the intruder, and the identity of the intruder is what I am looking for.
DavidR,
What version of avast are you using, home or pro?<<<
Avast 4.6 (Home Edition).
Well, Dave I guess the death toll has sounded on my search for the name of that Trojan. Unless, maybe, it could be identified by symptoms.

The intruder or culprit is most probably PEBCAK in case of trojans ;D
All info you need can be found via clicking the avast systray-icon (near the clock) and selecting avast! Log-Viewer (if you haven’t arrived there yet)
maybe you should post the name and location (path/folder/filename) of the trojan in question ?
for diagnosis, also post here a hijackthis-Log: httP://tomcoyote.org/hjt
Whocares,

Up yours.
…Log-Viewer (if you haven’t arrived there yet)<<<
That’s where >>>… ‘C:.…\avast4\ashlogV.exe’…<<< takes you.

C:\Windows\Tempory Internet Files\mark48.pps. A ‘.pps’ file contains macros that may have set off the alert, I do not know that for certain.

The ‘RE:’ in my last post, version 2, is not what I thought it was. The correct reference is: “Got the Picture?..No.”, a thread on this forum. What you are asking for now was done then and showed nothing. The fixes made, as a result of that diagnosis had no effect on the problem.

Well definitely no intruder’s fault except yourself then, isn’t it…?
either you downloaded it, or your system/browser is not configured safely…
it might have helped linking your other thread earlier, if you wanted help with that, I’m not clairvoyant
whocares,
Hey amigo, you appear a bit peeved. I read your last post and I don’t follow what it is you are trying to say.
adios,
