I notice when I start the windows vista (SP2) that there is internet activity ( monitor icons flashing) but the avast orange circle is not there. Then after a few seconds maybe 5-10 seconds the icon appears. Is this just cosmetic ? Am I assured that the Avast is running before anything else when windows starts ?
Avast will be running pretty early on in the boot, the avast tray icon (avastUI.exe) is a user startup entry so starts a little later. It isn’t a protection element of avast, but the access to the avast User Interface.
