Loading - this shouldn't take long... again!

Hello,

I’m getting the message in the subject once again. I can’t even try the “repair” option this time, as I don’t have it. In fact, I can’t do anything at all! (I wanted to see my Avast version, but I couldn’t.) There’s a security message that reads “You are unprotected”. I click on “activate” (pic 3), but nothing happens. I click and click everywhere, but nothing works.

I’m using Windows 7 Ultimate.

Thanks for any help!

You don’t have it ‘Repair’ where have you looked ?

If in control panel > programs > Uninstall > Avast antivirus - try clicking the Uninstall option (I really don’t believe it should be here as it scares the pants of you), there should be further options and Repair should be one of them.

I looked for the repair option here. control panel > programs > Uninstall > Avast antivirus

The two only options are uninstall and change.

I’m sending these attachments. Perhaps they can help you?

Choose the Uninstall option, it won’t immediately start an uninstall (it will probably ask are you sure or words to that effect), but should give other options, one of which is Repair (as in my second image).

For me it is crazy to but the Repair Option within the Uninstall choice, it must scare people. I’m sure some time ago this used to be in the Change option.

Just as you said, the repair option is “hidden” in the uninstall one.

Everything back to normal… finally!

Thank you!

You’re welcome.
