Lock screen command works but status bar/toggles can be accessed.

Hi folks

I can run sms commands to my phone and they are all working.

The problem is that when the remote lock is activated I can access the status bar from the top of the screen and hence access toggles for wireless, data and gps. A potential thief could keep turning these off.

I have looked through all my settings and I can’t disable the status bar from be accessed.

Any suggestions appreciated - I’m using HTC HD2 with ICS Miui V4 Rom

unfortunately, the notification bar implementation has been changed in Android 4. It is not possible for 3rd party apps to prevent the notification bar to show up. Sorry.

For the meantime - I changed my status bar to only show the minimum amount of toggles and removed data and gps toggles.

I don’t know on android >4.0 but on previous version (rooted phone) even when the phone isn’t lock you can’t disable wifi/gps or Data connection. It gets enabled again immediately after.

I am having a similar issue with my phone. Have Android 4.1 on unrooted Samsung S3 and there is no way to delete data/wifi/gps toggles from the toggle bar. So these could be turned off if my phone is lost. Grr
