lock uninstall of apps

When I go into App Locking, I get an error message that says

"Sorry

On LG devices with the default launcher, it is not possible to lock uninstall of any application. You need to use a 3rd Party launcher if you want to lock uninstall. Locking of running apps is fully working on your device."

I tried installing Nova and Go launchers but I still get the message.

I’m not even sure what it means. I don’t know how you’d go about uninstalling an app with Google Play and the system settings locked. The error message sounded ominous though, so I tried to fix it.

I suggest you root the phone/device.

I’d rather not root the device.

I don’t even know if the error message is accurate or if it will always show on an LG even if the problem is fixed by the 3rd party launcher. (Nova in this case.)

How would I test it? I don’t know how to uninstall an app with Play locked by Avast.

Well alrighty then. I guess it just doesn’t work and that’s that.
