Last week I found that I couldn’t log in to my MyVerizon account to make some changes to my profile there. I reset the password three different times and finally spoke to Customer Support by phone. Each time I was assigned a new temporary password, it failed on my next attempt to log in. This happened using three different browsers all under Windows 10.
On a chance, I opened a browser in a different computer in Kubuntu 16. The log in worked smoothly using the most recent temp pwd I had been sent. I changed the account pwd to one I would remember, wrote it down, and then made my changes.
Yesterday, I tried to log in again from my Windows machine. Again, the password was rejected. Then I remembered I was running Secureline VPN, so I turned it off and, voila, got through to Verizon with no problem. I have to assume that Secureline is somehow preventing Verizon from recognizing my login credentials. Is there a way to manage this, or do I need to turn the VPN off anytime I want to log in to Verizon? Thinking back, there may have been other sites that this has been a problem, but I’m not certain.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
