Looking for Avast AV software for iPad mini

G’day all & Avast Staff,

I bought an iPad mini for my mother birthday few days ago because she wanted one whenever she goes with it at the coffee shop and she also connect to wiFi modem at home anywhere around the house, question has Avast release or planning to create an Avast AV (free) if possible for all apple iPad model available on the market.

IF not this will encourage all the Avast users and none Avast users to have an Avast AV available for all the iPad, and this will make Avast stronger & better in security protection around the globe.

as far as i know, there is only On-Demand scanner available. VirusBarrier from Intego
they also have antivirus for Mac … well they only make software for Mac

Does anybody own an iPad mini and is their any security software might need to add into the iPad mini just to keep my mother safe, she never own and used a computer so this is her very first time in the internet world.

The expected release date is the first quarter of 2014.
Provided the Beta testing is completed by then. :slight_smile:

she is safe … as said above there is no known malware for iOS, unless it is jailbroken and using apps not approved by apple

but we dont know what happens in the future, the bad guys never rest you know

Thanks Pondus I’ll keep this in mind while I do my best to explain to my mother not to download anything software that hasn’t been approved by apple only :wink:
