Please forgive any errors, I’m on my cell.
I use the Avast Free virus protection. I went to download Firefox the other day, got no notification to a virus or other, but immediately after, started having problems in my browser: clicking on links, the ‘skip’ button on you tube videos, and Avast programs aren’t letting me push buttons to start, scan, etc.
I hope that makes sense. I didn’t know if it was a virus or malware, browser hijacker or what. I don’t know how to maneuver myself around to do ANYTHING and when I do try to click on anything or enter a web address it will go to that page, and then directly back to Chromes home page. And I was able to (I think) uninstall Firefox after a bunch of tries, right clicking on links, opening in new tabs, etc but that doesn’t always work. And in Avast, there’s nothing I can do, it’s just not working.
I downloaded Malware bytes, it ran for 5 hours and found some stuff, but I was unable to remove it, because the buttons again, were not working.
I’d really like to figure this out. Any suggestions?
