The initial sound CANNOT be disabled. It looks like the simple client installs and then the customization settings are applied after rebooting or on the next sync with your Avast Server.
We ended up sending out a mass email to our district that explained that the sound would play as we deployed the software. There were only a couple of “OMG MY COMPUTER IS YELLING AT ME” calls from people that didn’t read their email.
