I lost the download button for Youtube after last virus def update for free avast.
XP SP3 + Safezonebrowser…what happened-?
Well, you’re lucky Avast Safe Zone Browser is still working for you.
Latest browser version is Avast Secure Browser, which replaced ASZB back somewhere in 2017, I think. ASZB is not supported anymore as it is based on the Opera Browser and the licensing agreement between Opera and Avast ended at that time. ASB is based on the Chromium Browser.
I’m not sure, but XP3 is not supported by ASB? In other words, ASB may or may not run on XP.
So, in a nutshell, no fixes are coming your way re ASZB as it out-of-date.

Well its interesting you say no fixes because as this is broken something else was fixed.
For avery long time, like say 1-2 years, if the link gets broken while a download is busy, I close the browser, re-open it, link estabklished again, it then complete the download where it left off, but it looses the filename and change it to “video download” without .MP4 extention. I then rename the file and add .MP4 to it, Now I can view the file no problem.
I just discovered that this problem is now misteriously fixed. Link broken, link restablished, I close and re-open the browser and it resumes and keep the name of the file with MP4 extention. At least this works now.
Do you know if the new browser works with XP-?
(I don’t really needs it anymore, user Firefox much quicker)

Nope, XP/Vista isn’t supported anymore, you need W7+ to run ASB.
