lost my avast

I bought a 2 year perscription to avast. have the lisensekey and the receipt. my computer crashed. the people who fixed it said they down loaded avast again for me and now I am receiving a notice my trial period is coming to an end. help. I still have proof of buying avast. How do I get a hold of these people :

If you still have the license key than just re-insert it. Here is a video tutorial on how to do it.

EDIT: Altough the video shows the instructions for the Home version the procedure is the same for the Pro version.

If you don’t have the key anymore, send an email to sales (at) avast (dot) com and ask for further help

My computer crashed and now when I put in the license # it says it is invalid. I bought the 3 year plan on Oct 14/2007. I copied and paste does not work. Help and Thank you in advance. James

Do as was suggested in the post above yours, contact sales and explain the problem, they may be able to provide a new key to cover the remaining period. Or try to identify why it is considered invalid.

You will need to provide them with information about your purchase, date, email address used, etc. to help them track down your purchase.

Before you do that ensure that the system date is correct, day/month/year, adjust as necessary and re-enter your license key.

If that didn’t work or the system date was correct - Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. Then try entering your license key again.

Or if the repair made no difference, a clean reinstall and insert the key again as the crash could have corrupted part of the avast installation.

Download the latest Pro version of avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-professional.html and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again. Use that when you reinstall. Ensure that you scroll down and select the avast direct download link for the English version and not Cnet as that is for an on-line installation (not what you want to do).

Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, find it here and save it to your HDD.

    1. Now uninstall (using add remove programs, if you can’t do that start from the next step), reboot.- 2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility, reboot. If step 1 failed it may be necessary to run this from safe mode, once complete reboot into normal mode.- 3. install the latest version, reboot.
