Lost my master Avast Password

Hi all,
I lost my master Avast Password on my PC. Unfornately, there’s no option “Forget your password”
How can I reset it without uninstalling/reinstalling the software. If I have no choice doing that, what would I lose (passwords…)?

I’m in the same boat as below and with the helpful link provided, I looked it up which said “unfortunately there is no way to recover or reset it” — so according to this user’s other option of uninstalling-reinstalling, I suppose that’s the only option available. But would that correct the reset for resetting a new Master password? I’d like to know before I do that. Thanks.
