Well, I’ve got the files you need to see and view below.
As I’ve got an older version of Norton Ghost, and PSI version 2.0.0.3003 was complaining that this program was end-of-life, I simply renamed the file detected by PSI by affixing .old to it and left it in original place and directory. This file was a part of the Live Update process, but as Norton stopped supporting and updating this software years ago, and it was the only real option then to rectify a reported security vulnerability by Secunia.
This system is almost ten years old, and MS support is ending soon, so next option will be to maybe run some version of Linux on it anyway, for as long as it continues to cold boot and run.
Even caught an extra txt file from OTL even though this system has been looked over before.
@essexboy: You did mention at that time that there were several symantec drivers running on this system; I don’t wish to remove any needed by Ghost to run properly tho. Removing the updater should/could be ok.
Will be watching this topic, but might be behind a day at times. BTW, system cold boots to desktop in XP using remanufactured IDE drives in 2:00 minutes, stock system settings, not too shabby.
I’ve got that LUCOMS~1.EXE process running now in TM, just so you know.
