I’ve heard about Bootcamp for Mac, where you can install Windows on a Mac. I don’t know much about this, but this sounds great. If I were to install Vista Ulitmate, would there be anything I couldn do on a PC with Vista that I couldn’t do with Vista on a Mac?
BootCamp lets you Dual boot Windows XP or Vista and Mac OS X. You would be actually running vista not emulating it. Think of boot camp as the bootloader you would use if your were dual booting XP and Ubuntu Linux.
When you boot into Vista you are running vista on a PC as all macs are PC and there is nothing different than running it on any Dell HP etc
Wow, that sounds awesome, I wonder why everyone doesn’t do it.
Because most people dont like having to restart the Computer to Switch Operating systems.
So they Sacrifice some of the speed and run it in virtualization using Parallels or VMware.
I would say, the main reason is Apple hardware prices. That’s the only thing that stops people from doing this… I am about to completely dich my noisy PC can and continue using my new iMac with Windows. I just bought new OS X Leopard and got my Boot Camp with it… ![]()
