Mac OS 12 - Avast VPN - I can't access my Wireless Printer

Hi,
I searched the forums but couldn’t find any similar problems or answers…
With Avast VPN enabled, my computer can’t find my printer. Do I need to Disable Avast in order to print, or is there another way to solve this problem?

Hi,
you can access a local network with VPN enabled, but only with an IP address. If the printer is accessed by your computer using DNS or discovered by i.e. Bonjour protocol, it won’t work due to performance restrictions in the operating system.
