I installed Avast Free on my Mac. I find the extensions are blocked. I followed the directions to permit them to run in System Preferences > Security & Privacy, but clicking the “Allow” button does exactly nothing whatsoever, the extensions remain disabled. Yes, I clicked the little lock at the bottom of the dialog to enable changes. Yes, I’ve done everything as directed. Yet, no, the “Allow” button does nothing at all.
Is there any way to get this working? What gives? Why would Avast have installed extensions that don’t pass muster with the operating system? There’s something wrong here, but I have no idea what it could possibly be.
FYI, as an aside, the CAPTCHA images in these forums are horrific. Unreadable. Useless. Some of them don’t even contain any letters at all. Requesting multiples seems to be the only way to go.
