mac running windows avast not working

I installed avast security on the windows partition on my mac laptop. After rebooting I am unable to get back into anything. I have to plug in a usb keyboard in order to get into either partition of the mac. Once in avast says it is unable to run. What can I do? Do I have to install the mac version of avast on the windows partition?

Please, re-port this into the right thread. Windows partition on mac = stock windows environment, has nothing to do with mac, when you boot directly into it (= no virtualpc things or vmware or parallels or…)
