Mac Screenshot App with Avast

I use the Screenshot App on my MacBook Air a lot to copy documents from various national archives for genealogical research. I use MacOS Big Sur version 11.0.1. Since using Avast I am unable to use my Screenshot app. Is there some way to correct this?

is there some notification window from Avast? Or how is Avast blocking the the use of the Screenshot app?

I have not receive any notification from Avast. I just noticed when I started using Avast that my screenshot app freezes. I am not sure if Avast is the problem or something else.

Thank you for your advice. My screenshot still didn’t work after disabling Avast. So it must be something else. I did upgraded my MacOS to the latest version a couple weeks ago. So I cleaned my Mac and so far my Screenshot app is working ok.
