Read about it:
There’s also a Security Bites Podcast on the subject:
Those using a Mac please be careful.
the flaw is in safari as you can read here http://www.macworld.com/news/2007/04/20/machack/index.php
Initially, contestants were invited to try to access one of two Macs through a wireless access point while the Macs had no programs running. No attackers managed to do so, and so conference organizers allowed participants to try to get in through the browser by sending URLs via e-mail.
so those using Firefox, opera etc are not affected. there is not a flaw in the OS itself just in the web browser
That’s good to hear Mac.
Actually this is good. Apple fixes this issues once they are known by the public.
yea look for Security Update 2007-005 next week I will post when updated
Now would be a good time for all Windows QuickTime users to make sure they have Apple Software Update installed to they can recieve the security update once its released (you had the option to install it when you installed QuickTime)
