I got a little question. Assume PC X has a macro script. I insert my USB into PC X and take out a .rar file. Then I take out my USB.
Will my USB files be infected with this macro script?
Just a question!
Thanks

Usually makro-script infections need to be run somehow (some program opens it).
If it is transfered to your USB stick in a compressed file, like ‘rar’ it can’t infect your system by itself, nevertheless u shouldn’t run/open it from there - delete it asap, u can also scan your USB stick and let avast delete it.
asyn
I have a major problem though.
How can I be 100 % sure my word files do not have any macro script? Scanning with avast is not enough I know because it might be something new, or maybe all macro scripts can be detected because of their simplicity? I might be wrong. I think all anti viruses with their heuristic scans can find macro viruses.
Is there any other way?
