Magic prices in Russia

To whom it may concern

I am using Avast software for more than three years and since 2 years I obtained a paid license for Avast Internet Security.

When it came to the time to continue the license I face some weird issue.
For the renewal of my software version (in my region) I have to pay 1,700 rubles (about $53), but the system does not accept webmoney in rubles. Ok, I pay webmoney dollars. And what do I see? Price turns out to be $69.99.

Is there any logical explanation for that?

Where this difference in price is coming from?

The case here is not even in the 15 dollars, but in principle.
I presume, if I obtain my license on a special offer, then I supposed to pay this particular value and not other.

I would like to have this matter settled in the scope of the original offer and not willing to pay any higher price.

I did. Still no answer. What else can you reccomend?

Did you buy from a reseller…??

As far as I can see - this is official site.

Hi

Avet did you buy AIS 2years ago,by yourself or did someone gave you AIS as gift, present? Have you asked a person who gave you AIS,(Where did you buy AIS)? He/she should know where he/she bought AIS,right? Let,s say something about price, every country has different price for Avast products, now if I were you I will buy AIS from local dealer.

Don,t forget contact Avast sales, again.

Thank you

Bye

The case here is not about country or price. I get huge difference in prices when I switch currency on 1(!) site for 1(!) region.

Anyway, thanks for the link.

I don’t think it only applies to roubles. I seem to recall some apparently magical sterling/dollar exchange rates being used when I compared US/UK prices for AIS.
