Hi,
I have a mail account receiving hundreds of mails everyday, some good but many of them spam containing viruses.
I’m already using a spam filter program (K9) that marks them as Spam, and I would like to tell the program to delete all infected mails without asking, as it is delaying me a lot to confirm each deletion, evenmore when I need to do it twice for each virus/worm found.
Can you assit me?
By the way, I’m not sure, but since I installed avast many times all the systemtray freezes. Maybe a conflict with K9?
You have the option silent mode, this I believe sends it to the chest (a better first option than delete) and you are going to have to clean that out periodically.

I have no idea if the freeze is related to K9 and avast, I don’t know enough about K9. The main issue of using a spam filter/tool is if it to uses a proxy to identify the spam before it arrives in your inbox. If so you need to co-ordinate it so that the two proxies work together. Spamihliator is one such anti-spam and here is some info on getting that and avast working together http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=9;action=display;threadid=3413. Whilst this isn’t the same as K9 the principal may well be the same or similar.
You could also do a forum search for K9 but that may return more info on the K9 Parental Control program.
Thanks, I was missing this advanced options panel
K9 is a freeware spam filter made by an individual http://keir.net/software.html , but it is great ! (it saves me a lot of time)
No problem, welcome to the forums.
