Mail frauduleux

Bonjour, j’ai reçu un mail pour un renouvellement premium à 559 €, j’ai fait la bêtise de rappeler ce numéro mais comme je n’avais pas d’ordinateur avec moi, ils m’ont demandé mon nom-prénom et mail pour qu’ils puissent me renvoyer la confirmation de l’annulation. À votre avis est-ce que ces infos leur permettent de me prendre cette somme ? J’en suis malade.

That looks like it could be a spam/fraud email. Check the senders email address. There have been reports of fake emails saying they are Avast similar to this, and should not be replied to. Particularly not given any financial or bank details.

I agree with ‘rocksteady’ and given the price (it seems excessive). You would have to have multiple subscriptions for Avast Premium for a number of years to get anywhere close to this price they are giving.

Giving any details such as that asked for just confirms they have a live person. If they had sent you an email why would they ask for it again and your Name would give details useful for any further spam campaigns.

I think faty05 realized (too late) that it was a scam.

The question is rather what he or she risks since he or she called the number back and gave his or her name and email address.

(That said, faty05 wrote in French, which is easier for me to understand).

I would say that since no bank details were provided, the financial risk is low at this step.

However, you will need to remain vigilant about future emails you receive at this address, which will probably mention your identity.

Je n’ai pas ouvert le pdf qui était joint (“facture.pdf)”) car tout cela me semble très suspect.

Pour en être sûr, est-ce une erreur de facturation (car je n’ai pas de compte chez Avast), ou un fake ?
