Mail no longer sending after uninstall Avast

After I have uninstalled Avast, I can no longer send emails. My Email client cannot seem to contact the mail server. I have check in Thunderbird to use no proxy, and that the mail server is entered correctly. Everything seems to be correct. I can still receive mail, but not send. When I re-install Avast, the mail still does not work. What to do?

Try recreating the email accounts again. Maybe the SSL/TSL (and ports) have being changed to allow avast scanning.

What errors are you getting when try to send/receive email ?

As Tech is suggesting if your email uses SSL (secure encrypted) then ‘you would’ have had to change your email account settings so that avast could scan then and then forward to secure connection.

Tanx. I had to remove all accounts (including all outgoing server) and recreate them.
