Mail Scanner and Spam module problem on 64bit machines.

I have avast 8.0.1489
On my 32bit machines mail scanner and the spam module work just fine.
I have to turn them off on my 64bit machines as it can’t find the SMTP server unless I do.

What on earth is going on ?

have you tried avast repair option from ad/remove programs > avast > change ?

any change?
