Hi
(At the end you will find the find the technical information and a copy of the ini file)
I am using your marvelous program aVast 4.
Since a few days I do have problems:
I am unable to have the mail scanned. This after a system crash. (Blue screen in XP)
Nor does the mail wizard helps to solve the problem.
I am using XP Prof w Office XP and Outlook 6.
Although it is telling me:
Internet Mail:
- Scan outbound mail [SMTP]
- Scan inbound mail [POP3]
- Scan inbound mail [IMAP]
- Heuristic sensitivity: medium
Outlook:
- Scan inbound and outbound mail
- Scan unread messages on open
- Heuristic sensitivity: medium
File system:
- Scan selected files on open
No error messages. only informational messages
Only the provider Outlook/Exchange is not running according to aVast
3 providers/2running
I can send and receive infected mails (tested with eicar and unfortunaly I did find out after having received a old file which can be cleaned with you cleaner e.g. eicar)
If I manually enter the setting of mail protection then the mail is scanned but aVast deletes lines of the message.
Usually the last 12 lines.
Installing- uninstall, reapir does not work nor removing with the avast remover tool.
