Hello,
I’ve been using Avast for Windows for a number of years and it’s a great product. However, I’ve been having some issues with the Mac version. Almost every time I want to use the Mac Mail app I must first open the Avast preferences to disable and re-enable the mail shield. Looking at the logs shows that doing so sends a SIGHUP and it re-starts the proxy service. Does anyone have any idea what may be happening? There are also numerous errors for the proxy service and also something called com.avast.regapp. I’m assuming that last program is a phone home mechanism that is failing? I’ve included a sample from my logs. All help is appreciated. Thank you.
