I’ve ran into several programs that use the standard secure mail ports for their programs. Since it’s not mail traffic enabling SSL scanning breaks them.
The only option I found for SSL Scanning was to enable or disable, nothing else. I’d like to still stay protected with SSL scanning, but allow these programs with an exception. Does the Mail Shield SSL scanning have a spot to allow exceptions?
Adding those applications as a exception will make them (and the traffic that they generate) not being scanned at all.
It does not making sense to add them to the exclusions in the mail shield as it is not (or at least should not) the mail shield that will scan them.
Legitimate applications normally don’t make use of the standard mail ports unless they are mail clients.
