I have recently done an upgrade and went from Windows XP to Windows8.1.
Complete clean install onto new hard drive as well.
I have been using Avast Free Antivirus for a few years now with no issue.
I have Avast free antivirus 2015 Installed now
But with this new install the Avast icon constantly has an Attention Icon. When I click it, it says" Some of your real time shields are turned off"
There is a button to click to resolve all but nothing happens when I click it. I also try click turn on. But nothing
Looking further I see it is my mail shield that is off and nothing I can do will turn it on.
2 remedies: 1 Repair of Avast (try this first) Control Panel > Programs and Features > Select Avast> Select Repair
