A little confused:
what’s the difference between “internet mail and outlook/exchange”? Is the outllook referring to outlook express or the office outlook? My provider settings say that it is waiting for a subsystem to start when i elect to use outook/exchange but is working well with just the internet mail provider .

This provider affects MS Outlook and MS Exchange mail clients only…not outlook express…
you can remove it if you are not using it…
to remove…goto control panel…add/remove programs…select avast…change…cross out outlook/exchange provider…
